Richard Kilgore, Superintendent

It is truly an honor and privilege to be starting my 36th year in education and 16th year as your Superintendent. Like all schools, we have continued to develop and enhance our variety of safety programs to create a safe and secure environment. The two biggest changes have been the hiring of a School Resource Officer and School Safety Coordinator, both with law enforcement and emergency planning in their background. Increased cameras and screening for large glass areas has also been a priority, along with increased training for faculty, staff, and our Guardian Program.

The past few years have been challenging for our district and all schools across the state and country.

BEISD is working hard to successfully re-engage every student and reconnect them with the tools needed to reach their potential.

I look forward to a great year! And remember, “Every day is a great day to be an Eagle!”.
